LeBron James “Cosmic” Dunk #29 – $208,000

This set of NBA Top Shot 49 collector cards of LeBron James was created in 2019 and sold on February 22, 2021. It was purchased by well-known NFT trader Pranksy for $208,000. Pranksy has already made over half a million dollars trading NFTs and spent 140 ETH to buy LeBron James “Cosmic” Dunk #29.

Everyday: The First 5000 Days by Beeple – $69.3 million (approx)

Sold on March 11, 2021, this was the first purely NFT-based artwork sold at major auction houses Christie’s and became the most expensive NFT ever sold.

Beeple, whose real name is Mike Winkelmann, created a jpeg file of a digital collage that had 5000 daily futuristic images he had made every day from May 1, 2007, till January 7, 2021.

CryptoPunk #3100 – 4,200 ETH ($7.67m)

One of only nine “Alien” Punks, Punk #3100 was purchased in March for 4,200 ETH each, holding the top spot until Punk 4156’s entry to the list. “Alien” Punk 3100 is one of the rarest Punks available.

Little is known about the buyer, who spent $7.67m on the highly sought-after CryptoPunk.

Pak’s ‘The Merge’ — $91.8m

Pak/NiftyThe Merge became the most expensive NFT ever sold on December 2, 2021. Almost 30,000 collectors pitched together for a total cost of $91.8m, making it the only NFT on this top 10 list to have multiple owners.

In November, Winkelmann struck gold once again with his hybrid physical and digital artwork, described as a “kinetic video sculpture.” Human One consists of four video screens on polished aluminum metal, a mahogany wood frame, and dual media servers. The piece, which has an accompanying token, was sold for $28.9 million at Christie’s, with the auction house describing Winkelmann as “among the top three most valuable living artists.”

Save Thousands of Lives — $4.5

Save Thousands of Lives is an NFT created by Noora Health, an organization that saves the lives of at-risk patients in South Asia. The artwork was sold for 1337 ETH in May 2021, with profits allocated to the organization’s program aimed at saving newborns’ lives.

Beeple, Crossroad — $6.6M

Crossroad is an animated NFT created by Mike Winkelmann, better known for his artistic pseudonym Beeple. It features the former US President Donald Trump laying on a field while bystanders ignore him.

It was sold for $6.6 million in February 2021 on Nifty Gateway, but the sale execution was made on the secondary market.
