JUSTIN BIEBER ENTERS THE BORED APE NFT CHAT WITH A $1.3 MILLION PURCHASE

The Canadian singer Justin Bieber has purchased a Bored Ape Yacht Club (BAYC) non-fungible token (NFT) for 500 ethereum or $1.29 million at the time of settlement. Bieber has a significant collection of NFTs and his wallet holds 340.43 ether worth $879K.

Grammy award-winning artist Justin Bieber ventures further into the wonderful world of NFTs, becoming a member of the renowned Bored Ape Yacht Club and dropping some serious dough on one of their NFTs. How much, you ask? Nothing crazy, just $1.31 million.

Justin Bieber is now the proud owner of Bored Ape #3001, which he purchased for 500 ETH ($1.3 million).

Bieber joins a slew of other celebrity BAYC, or Bored Ape Yacht Club, members such as Serena Williams, Gunna, Travis Barker, and Stephen Curry to name a few.

The ‘Non-Fungible Token‘ was bought by an OpenSea account called, JustinBieberNFT’s, believed to be owned by the pop star. The account is the owner of over 100 NFTs, including the recent purchases of projects such as Doodles, CloneX, and World of Woman. On the same day, according to reports, he also purchased a WoW NFT for 16 ETH.

Incredibly, the purchase is only the seventh-hight amount of cryptocurrency paid for a Bored Ape.

Now, the interesting thought is that Justin Bieber might be working with the Bored Ape Yacht Club on a special performance or deal with current owners. If you aren’t into this market yet, the BAYC is known for hosting exclusive parties for its holders with appearances by musicians and comedians. So, it’s possible Justin’s venture into this world, might be indicating he is performing at the next event!

Bieber is a well-known pop star with his popular seven-track EP “My World.” The 2009 album made Bieber the youngest solo male recording artist to make it into the U.S. Billboard 200 in 47 years. 13 years later, Bieber seems to be dabbling in cryptocurrencies and non-fungible token assets.

Bieber’s Opensea name is called “JustinBieberNFTS” and the BAYC he purchased was Bored Ape Yacht Club #3001. What was interesting about Bieber’s NFT acquisition was the fact that the BAYC’s floor price was 104 ether or $270,908 at the time of sale.

Moreover, while Bieber spent 500 ether the estimated value of BAYC #3001 on January 29, 2022, was $208,237. This means that the famous Canadian singer paid a whole lot more than what the market estimated the BAYC to be worth.

The traits of the ape include a New Punk Blue background where 12% of all apes have it, a Black T that only 3% of the apes share, sad eyes (6% rarity), dark brown fur (14% rarity), and bored unshaven mouth (16% rarity.

Meanwhile, the Bored Ape Yacht Club collection’s floor price surpassed 100 ETH recently and continues to be the most expensive collection of non-fungible tokens online.

Other notable members include legendary tennis player Serena Williams and the rap icon Eminem.
