The Change in Business Industry

Changes In The Business Industry.

CEOs across industries—beauty, social good, sexual health, tech, etc. were asked about their expectations for this year, from challenges they may face to how the election outcome might help affect change. Here’s what they had to say:

Non-Technical to Technical

The non-technical entrepreneurs will enter the tech industry in large numbers this year. So, 2017 will see a drastic rise in non-technical entrepreneurs starting tech businesses. In the past, it was unthinkable to start a tech start-up without knowing how to code or attracting a technical co-founder. Now, due to the rising demand of online sale and purchase, entrepreneurs are turning towards technology more than ever before. Because of this, business acumen, sales skills, and industry knowledge are also becoming more important.

Drone Industry

With the growth in the drone industry, there will be more entrepreneurial opportunities. From mine-hunting non-profits to individual enthusiasts, tens of thousands of new drones are being added to the rapidly growing pool owned by everyone. There are inevitably going to be plenty of crashed or damaged items, given the nature of flying and using drones. Now this is great news for an aspiring entrepreneur because it means there is an opportunity to start an online drone blog, advice and repair business.

Solar collectors will become more accessible to consumers

Rooftop solar collectors are going to be the next big idea to take hold in the luxury market, then transition into the mass market. The really big money will be made not in new roofs, but in developing, installing and maintaining attractive solar panels that can enable homeowners across the country to take advantage of the free power that the sun offers.

e-Commerce

Online shopping websites have transformed the way we make purchases. As a result, online retail has become a convenient way for potential customers to shop anywhere, even when they’re on the go. Considering this recent, still new change in the industry, more and more of e-commerce start-ups will emerge in the market and hence competition will increase. Today, it is easier for businesses to take advantage of the e-commerce wave and extend their sales online at a faster rate than seen in previous years.

You would think that in this day and age everybody would know how important a website is for all businesses. Clearly that is not the case. Any business that does not have a website is missing out on one of the most powerful marketing tools available to them. There are actually still quite a few small businesses that do not have a website and without one this is exactly what they will remain. If you don’t have a website for your business, potential customers are going to assume that you are a small company that does not take their business seriously. Once you establish this reputation, it is going to be hard to make sales. I have always emphasised on the importance of having a good website for your company and I am going to continue doing so! Generally, small business owners do not pay much attention to getting a website for their business, or maintaining it. Remember that most clients and customers will assume that you have a website for your business, because, today most businesses do. As discussed in my blog Quick Business Development Tips, all big companies have a website, and they did not become big without it.
